The all-new Subaru Forester e-BOXER
Awarded Euro NCAP’s Best in Class Cars of 2019
Zaventem, January 8, 2020 – Subaru Europe, the European subsidiary of Subaru Corporation, announced today that the all-new Subaru Forester e-BOXER (European specification) was named the “Best in Class Cars of 2019” in the Small Off-Road/MPV class, an award given to the best performing model of each class in the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) 2019 safety performance test.
This marks the second time for Subaru to receive this prestigious safety recognition, following the SUBARU XV and Impreza, awarded “Best in Class of 2017” in the Small Family Car category.
The all-new Subaru Forester e-BOXER received the maximum five star with outstanding scores in all four assessment areas (Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users, Safety Assist), achieving the highest score ever in its class for “Child Occupant Protection” in the Euro NCAP 2019 assessment Protocol.
Globally, this fifth generation Forester had been praised with important awards: in Japan, the Forester won the JNCAP First Prize*4 in the 2018 Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP)*5 collision safety performance assessment and the highest rating of the ASV+++ (Advanced Safety Vehicle Triple Plus) in 2019 JNCAP Preventive Safety Performance Assessment. The 2018-2019 Grand Prix Award in JNCAP collision safety performance assessment marks the second winning of the award for Subaru following the Grand Prix Award for Impreza and SUBARU XV in the 2016-2017 assessment.
