Zaventem, 18 July 2025 – Subaru Europe, the European subsidiary of Subaru Corporation, today announced the launch of three new BEV models in Europe:

      •  Subaru Solterra
      • Subaru Uncharted
      • Subaru E-Outback

All three vehicles are being introduced – alongside SUBARU’s current ICE-based BOXER-powered models – as zero-tailpipe-emission alternatives. Built on the newly evolved e-Subaru Global Platform, they offer more power, enhanced range, faster charging, and a renewed commitment to SUBARU’s Enjoyment and Peace of Mind engineering mantra.

The new e-Subaru Global Platform offers significant upgrades and meets new buyers’ expectations.

SUBARU’s legendary All-Wheel Drive (AWD) has been re-engineered for the EV era, now offering superior safety, more torque, greater road-holding precision, and refined off-road capability.

• A new software-managed AWD system intuitively adjusts torque distribution across front and rear e-axles, translating to better cornering and grip in all conditions, particularly on snow and ice.
• Working from their signature S-AWD platform, engineers created two Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) single motor versions, available on one of the new models, with a view to meeting expectations of new customers prioritising cruising range and affordability while staying fully aligned with SUBARU’s core values of safety, capability and driving pleasure.
• 50 years of experience in low-COG (centre of gravity) engineering – from aerospace to symmetrical AWD passenger cars – enabled engineers to take superior advantage of EV technology in stability, handling and braking performance.
• Features larger batteries, stronger motors, extended range, faster charging, and greater towing capacity across all three models. 

SUBARU SOLTERRA

Three years after it made its first steps as SUBARU’s first electric SUV – on road , off-road and on track as the first-ever all-electric safety car in a world motorcycle racing championship series – the Solterra returns, significantly upgraded and readier than ever.

Highlights include:

• Performance Boost: Dual e-axles now deliver 252 kW (338 horsepower (HP)). 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
• Extended Range: Efficiency gains and a larger 73.1 kW/h battery pushes range past 500 km.
• Faster Charging: 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes at -10°C with pre-conditioning and optional 22 kW AC charger.
• Increased Towing: now doubled to 1.5 tons.

Design Refresh: Sleeker front styling, redesigned interior, advanced 14-inch infotainment display, and added camera support for all-surface awareness.

SUBARU UNCHARTED

Launching alongside the Solterra is the Subaru Uncharted, the brand’s first all-electric compact SUV. Targeting outdoor-loving explorers and performance enthusiasts alike, the Uncharted fuses ruggedness with agility.

Model Options:

• AWD Dual Motor: 77 kW/h battery (gross), 252 kW (338 HP), 470 km range, 1.5 tons towing, 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds.
• Long Range Front-Wheel Drive: 77 kW/h battery (gross), single motor, 585 km range*¹.
• Entry Model: Single motor, FWD, 57.7 kW/h battery (gross), 445 km range*¹.
• 22 kW on-board charger as standard on all trim levels.
• 10 to 80% charging in 30 minutes at -10°C with pre-conditioning.

Design & Features:

• Purpose-built styling.
• Squared steering wheel, dual wireless chargers, paddle shifters, 14-inch infotainment display.
• 5.5 meter turning radius.
• 210 mm ground clearance, dual X-MODE, SUBARU-tuned suspension and steering.

SUBARU E-OUTBACK

Inspired by the 30-year legacy of SUBARU’s original crossover pioneer, the E-Outback redefines SUBARU’s flagship model for the EV generation.

Built for Adventure, Tuned for Confidence:

• Performance: 74.7 kW/h battery, 280 kW (375 HP), 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, range past 450 km *¹.
• Capability: Symmetrical AWD, 210 mm ground clearance, dual X-MODE, 1.5 tons towing.
• Safety: Includes Emergency Driving Stop, Secondary Collision Braking, and EyeSight Driving Assist system-inspired features.
• Spaciousness: Longer than Solterra, features increased trunk space (fits 4 large suitcases or a dog cage).
• Design: Rugged aesthetics, rear wiper, roof rails, 18 & 20-inch alloys.

The name “Outback,” a historic model name for SUBARU, has been adopted for the new BEV to be introduced in the European market. E-Outback combines everything drivers love about its trusted 2.5L BOXER-powered sibling – versatility, capability, and go-anywhere confidence – with thrilling electric power and refined technology.

Adding these three models to its current line-up, SUBARU intends to keep on delivering the promise of Enjoyment and Peace of mind to car enthusiasts and born-ready explorers alike, ensuring they stay driven by what they love.
